Over the past 2 years we have compiled testimonies from people who have moved due to the impacts of climate change. Artists Mazaher and Maya Chowdhry have used these testimonies and other footage to create a powerful film installation.The testimonies were collected as part of our Moving Stories project. They are gathered from local media reports and academic field work. The testimonies are read by actors and interspersed with real footage from climate linked disasters.

The installation is on at the Durham Miners Hall as part of the cultural and artistic events coinciding with the conference: Human Migration and the Environment: Futures, Politics, Invention.
We will be at several events surrounding the installation discussing the wider issues relating to climate change and migration.

Provocative debate and discussion where Dave Douglass (trade unionist, miners historian and writer), Alex Randall (UK Climate Change and Migration Coalition) and others discuss these key issues.
Alex Randall is the project manager of the Climate Change and Migration Coalition. He is author of a number of the Coalition’s reports, as well as numerous blogs and comment pieces.
